Jack On Homestead:
“Homestead is another one of those tracks that I have
had some good success at – but the win has just somehow
always slipped away from me. The track is completely different
than when the series first started racing there about ten
years ago. It is a fast and wide track but you seem to loose
grip a lot there which makes the handling of your truck fall
off. It will be important for us to get our Toyota Tundra
where it handles very well so we can keep as much grip as
possible on older tires. This Wyler Racing team and Toyota
have been awesome to work with here these last four races
and it all excites me about what could happen with us next
year. First, we all want to go down to Homestead and get in
a very good run and it would be incredible to give this team
their first win and get that elusive win for myself at Homestead.”
Jack Is Due At Homestead:
Jack has not won in his career at the Homestead-Miami Speedway
but he is certainly due. He has the most top-five (six) and
top-ten (seven) finishes at the track in South Florida. He
also has completed the most laps (1,251) and miles (1,876.50)
along with leading the most (241 laps/361.5 miles). Sprague’s
best finish at Homestead is second which he has accomplished
twice (1996 & 1998).
Jack On 2005 Season:
“The 2005 season has been up and down for me –
I had one win at Texas and a pole in Milwaukee with the No.
16 Xpress Motorsports Craftsman Truck Series team. I enjoyed
working with Xpress over the last season but I had to look
hard at the opportunity to work with the Wyler’s and
drive a Toyota. My first race with Wyler Racing was in Martinsville
this fall and over the course of the past four races we’ve
really built up a lot of chemistry on this team. I’m
looking forward to a Championship Year in ’06. The Toyota
Tundra’s I’m driving have so much technology and
horsepower behind them that it is a no wonder they have been
dominating these last few races. I look forward to ending
the 2005 season on a high note and building some momentum
for this No. 60 Toyota team heading into 2006.”
