Sprague On Mansfield Motorsports Speedway:
“Mansfield is just a little bull ring. You drive the higher
side of the race track versus the lower side because of the progressive
banking. It’s just a rooting, gouging place. It’s a lot
of fun. And if the truck is set up good, you can really race at Mansfield.”
“I’m really looking forward to getting back to Mansfield.
I have a win and a second-place finish there, so I’m pretty
confident going into the race. On top of that, Mansfield is a home
state track for my team owners – Jeff and David Wyler. So there’s
definitely some added pressure there – I want to win really
bad for them in their backyard. I know it would be very special for
Wyler Racing to get its first ever victory in Ohio. My No. 60 Con-way
Freight Toyota has had some great runs this season, but we haven’t
been able to get it into victory lane just yet. I think that Mansfield
could be the track for us to finally get the checkered flag.”
Career at Mansfield Motorsports Speedway:
Sprague has two career starts at Mansfield Motorsports Speedway
in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Sprague won the inaugural NASCAR
Craftsman Truck Series race from the pole (2004). He followed up
that performance with a runner-up finish in 2005. This will be Sprague’s
first run in the No. 60 Con-way Freight Toyota
Tundra at Mansfield Motorsports Speedway.

Ohio Win Would Have Special Meaning:
Sprague’s success at Mansfield brings added excitement to
team owners Jeff and David Wyler. The Wyler’s who started
the Wyler Racing team only a year ago, have had phenomenal success
in a short period of time. Capturing their first ever victory
as team owners in their home state would add special meaning to a
victory at Mansfield.
In addition to Sprague’s team owners being based out of Ohio,
his sponsor Con-way Freight is located just a few hours north of
Mansfield in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Several Con-way Freight executives
will be in attendance. Con-way Freight is also having a hospitality
tent that will be enjoyed by its employees and customers.
Notes:
- Sprague has 228 career starts in the
Craftsman Truck Series.
- Sprague has 25 career victories (2nd
highest in the Series) and 28 career poles.
- Sprague finished fifth in each of the
first two events (Daytona and California)
of the 2006 season. He finished fourth
at Gateway.
