Sprague On Racing at Nashville Superspeedway:
“I really like racing at Nashville Superspeedway. The track
is smooth, fast and it has plenty of racing room. I haven’t
had a lot of luck at Nashville in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series,
but I have had two really good runs there in the Busch Series, including
a win. I sure would like to change my fortune there in the truck
series and get at least a top-10 there – especially this weekend
since our manufacturer Toyota is sponsoring the race. Nashville Superspeedway
is typically my type of race track, so I would like to get the No.
60 Con-way Freight Toyota out front early and keep us there.”
Six Million Dollar Man:
With a finish of third or higher at the Nashville Superspeedway
this Saturday, Jack Sprague will become the first driver in the NASCAR
Craftsman Truck Series to reach $6 million in career winnings. Currently,
Sprague has $5,982,645 – just over $17,000 shy of the record.
Career at Nashville Superspeedway:
Sprague has five career starts at Nashville Superspeedway in the
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and the NASCAR Busch Series. Although
he doesn’t have a top-10 finish at the 1.33-mile tri-oval in
the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Sprague has enjoyed success at
the Nashville Superspeedway. In two starts in the Busch Series, Sprague
scored a runner-up finish and a victory.

Sprague On Rebounding >From Indianapolis:
“We had a great run going at Indianapolis on Friday night
before we got into another truck and got some damage that caused
us to lose several laps. The points battle is so close right now,
our 28th-place finish dropped us four spots in the points. This Wyler
Racing team is a championship caliber team, and if we are going to
challenge for a top spot in the points, we can’t afford to
make any more mistakes. All of us – the driver, the pit crew – will
have to be on top of our game each and every week so we can contend
for the title that I believe we can win.
“I would really like to get back on track at Nashville because
that Gibson guitar is one of the coolest trophies we race for all
season long. I have two guitars – one from the truck race at
the Fairgrounds in 1997 and one from the Busch race in 2002. I would
love to add a third guitar to that collection. It would look good
beside the Elvis trophy from Memphis.”
